Terms of use

The short version, then the terms

Last updated August 2026

Soundnote drafts clinical documents. It does not make clinical decisions, and it is not a substitute for your judgment. You review, correct and sign every document, and you remain responsible for the clinical record.

1. Who we are

Soundnote is operated by Enkidu Labs Pty Ltd (ACN 701 159 793), an Australian company. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. By using Soundnote you agree to them.

2. What Soundnote is, and what it is not

  • Soundnote is a documentation aid. It transcribes consults and drafts clinical documents for your review.
  • It does not diagnose, treat, or recommend care. Its flags are prompts to review your own documentation, not clinical advice.
  • The treating clinician is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any record entered into practice software.
  • Soundnote is not endorsed, accredited or approved by any medical college, regulator or professional body.

3. Your account

  • Access is by invitation while Soundnote is in testing. Accounts are personal and must not be shared.
  • You must hold current registration appropriate to your clinical role, and use Soundnote only within your scope of practice.
  • You are responsible for obtaining the patient's consent before recording a consult, and for complying with your own practice's policies.
  • Keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe they have been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

  • Use Soundnote only for legitimate clinical documentation.
  • Do not attempt to probe, reverse-engineer, or bypass its security or privacy protections.
  • Do not upload or record content you do not have the right to process.
  • Do not resell, sublicense, or provide access to anyone outside your invitation.

5. Software in testing

Soundnote is in active testing. Features may change, output may be imperfect, and availability is not guaranteed. We may suspend, change or withdraw access during the testing period. Keep your practice software as the system of record: Soundnote is not a backup, an archive, or a medical record system.

6. Your data

What is collected, what leaves your device, which vendors receive it, where it is stored and for how long is set out on the privacy page. You keep ownership of your clinical content.

7. Intellectual property

Soundnote, its name, mark and software remain the property of Enkidu Labs Pty Ltd. Nothing in these terms transfers any right in them to you.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Soundnote is provided as-is during testing, and Enkidu Labs is not liable for loss arising from reliance on a generated document that was not reviewed before use. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Ending access

You may stop using Soundnote at any time. We may end access if these terms are breached, or when the testing period closes. On request we will delete your account data, subject to any record-keeping we are legally required to maintain.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect.
